U.S. Army Air Corps Pilot Wings Pin
The Army Air Forces in World War II had a wide variety of wings and badges to signifiy qualifications and standings. Most of the badges were available in the standard 3″ size for use on the tunic and the 2″ shirt size which were worn when the shirt was the outer garment. You’ll often hear the 2″ size referred to as “sweet heart” wings since so many were sent home to loved ones.
