Lost Dutchman Gold Mine Aerial Search
Join us in our vintage C-47 in an aerial search for the famous Lost Dutchman Gold Mine. We will be flying at 1,000 to 2,000 feet above the ground over part of the area where the mine is rumored to be.
The full experience includes:
- A 20-minute briefing on the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine legend, the history of our WWII veteran C-47, and the history of Falcon Field – originally a WWII RAF training facility.
- A 20 to 25-minute narrated flight over the Salt River, the Lost Dutchman State Park and Weaver’s Needle.
- Free admission to the CAF Airbase Arizona Museum after the flight
- A miner’s cloth bag of “gold” (pyrite)
- A topographical map of the area to diagram the flight path
- Personalized flight certificate and Flight Patch

Disclaimer
- Passengers must be 5 years of age or older. Passengers under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Minors who fly (age 5-17) must have their guardian complete a Minor Hold Harmless agreement and the guardian(s) must be present on the day of flight.
- For safety reasons, all passengers must wear close-toed shoes. No Sandals or flip-flops will be allowed.
- Flights may be cancelled due to weather, mechanical, or crew availability
- There is a minimum of 6 passengers required to fly this aircraft. If the minimum is not met prior to the flight time, the flight will be cancelled
- All flights take-off from and land at the same airport.
- For your safety and ours, Passengers must be able to enter and exit the aircraft without assistance. Passengers that cannot board without assistance will not be flown. Passengers may be required to demonstrate that they can board and exit the aircraft prior to boarding.
- Ear plugs (provided or bring your own).
- No vaping devices are allowed on any of our aircraft
- No Firearms are permitted on the aircraft
- No animals are permitted on the aircraft
- Flight intensity is Low (typically less than commercial airliner).
