Hangar Talk: Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw

The Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw (also known by its model number, S-55) is a multipurpose helicopter used by the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard from 1947 to 1991.
It holds the distinction of being the U.S. Army’s first transport helicopter and was instrumental in the Korean War, as well as the early days of the Vietnam War.
