Dr. Zilber was born in a displaced person’s camp in Landsberg, Germany and was deeply impacted by her parents’ experiences during the Holocaust and its horrors throughout her childhood. She encouraged her mother to record the experiences. While researching her mother’s memories, which included historical sources, Dr. Zilber recounts her journey and describes the impact on her, the second generation.
