Step back in time and immerse yourselves in authentic historic experiences where young brave Americans went to hell and back to save the world. Available with minimum 30-days in advance booking (but not during the months May thru September).
Guided exhibit tours covering 100 years of military aviation from World War I through Vietnam. Authentic aircraft and rare artifacts demonstrate the experiences and conditions faced by airmen and women from real air battles and rescue missions. 60 to 90 minutes – group rates apply for ten or more persons ($10 each).
Living history flights in meticulously restored and maintained war planes from World War II. Pre-flight briefing in mission planning room honoring the 91st Bomb Group. Flights and optional smaller aircraft subject to weather and availability.
- Join the crew of a B-17 Flying Fortress on a pretend bombing mission to experience the teamwork and challenges of defending your ship from enemy fighters and getting to and from your target in one piece. Eight passenger seats. Whole aircraft rate $3,500.
- Scramble aboard a B-25 Mitchell bomber that flew ground attack missions in the Mediterranean as part of the Allied invasion of southern Europe. Six passenger seats. Whole aircraft rate $2,600.
- Keep a secret and get your flashing codes right in a C-47 Dakota that flew top secret missions for the OSS, dropped British Airborne units in the invasion of Sicily and rescued numerous downed aircrews and wounded partisans in Yugoslavia from out under the noses of Nazi’s. Twelve passenger seats. Whole aircraft rate $1,950.
