The Walk of Honor is a tribute to those Arizonans who have contributed to military aviation achievements in protecting and maintaining our freedom. Each award honoree will be honored at the Commemorative Air Force Museum of the Arizona Wing with a special bronze plaque for their outstanding achievement.
Nominees will be native, resident or former resident Arizonans; living or deceased and who made noteworthy contributions to the field of military aviation.

To include achievements involving flight personnel for cases in which the nature of the contribution was directly related to the operation of air vehicles.
To include achievements involving the design of air vehicles, the development of engineering technology, the conduct of engineering testing, or investigations in a field of science related to flight.
To include activities involving the manufacture or production of air vehicles or components, or the fulfillment of the entrepreneur's role in the bringing together of ideas and the capital necessary to bring such ideas to fruition.
To include activities related to the management operation of air vehicle systems such as aircraft weapons, structure, propulsion, aircraft systems/sensors, support systems, or space vehicle launch and recovery organizations.
To include achievements that involve advancement of education in the field of science or technology related to flight.
To include activities of a commendable nature related to aspects of aviation development not specifically suitable for recognition in the other categories.
Organizations and the public shall be invited to submit candidates for nomination. Please submit nominations from February through June of each year for consideration by the Selection Committee by the end of the award year.
