As can be expected with our museum and flying aircraft, there are some risks and safety concerns every guest needs to be aware of when visiting our facility. • We can’t stress this one enough, this is an ACTIVE airport, and as such, we have planes containing aircraft fuel and other flammable materials. Please use our designated smoking area outside of the Gift shop.
  • Be mindful of the aircraft and exhibits
    • Our museum has aircraft, as well as engine displays and other exhibits spread throughout the facility. Please be careful walking around the aircraft and displays, especially for protruding aircraft parts and propellers. Please be careful. Unless otherwise stated, all aircraft are not to be climbed onto or into by anyone.
  • Maintenance Hangar
    • Part of our work as volunteers is to restore aircraft. The dance will be in our exhibit hangar, but we also have an adjoining maintenance hangar where restorations and repairs are always in progress on our aircraft. If visiting this hangar, please be careful of fluids/spills, cables, cords, parts and other equipment that will be out and around the facility.
  • Ramp Activity
    • Whether attending our dance, or just visiting on a weekend, our ramp (area in front of the hangars where the planes park) can be quite busy. PLEASE be careful and watch out for activity on our ramp from either moving aircraft or vehicles. While aircraft are active, we ask that you stay behind the red line painted on the ramp surface in front of the hangar doors.
